HT
Heather Terrore, known around here as HT, went to the Cleveland Institute of Art where she got a BFA in Jewelry and Metals. She enjoys the fast paced environment, producing new designs, and stamping long quotes or detailed charms. She also likes the fun and energetic, yet casual environment and the different personalities of all the people she works with. She is great at answering questions and getting employees on the right track with their work. She has been a part of the company since the beginning, and she has loved helping to set it off and watch it change and grow. Her favorite part of her job is watching new products develop and contributing to the design process. The necklace she wears was made within the first few months of working here when the designs and sizes were much more limited. It's a simple yellow gold charm with a serif H and a bigger yellow gold charm with a giant 21 stamped onto it. This charm represents her old roller derby number, a super fun time in her life. Today, she still wears these charms every day and enjoys the memories they hold. A piece she loved which came through the studio was a raised gold Roman numeral ID leather bracelet with overlapping typography and diamonds. Next, she would like to get an XXI Roman numeral ID bracelet with her new house and all of her animals, Stubbs, Pitch, and Lady Chow, overlapped on it. This would mark the memories that she is creating in her house with her friends.
EMILY
Emily attended Kent State University and studied Jewelry, Metals, and Enameling. She likes working on channel sets and finishing. She enjoys the good company she is in at work and the fun atmosphere in the studio. She likes seeing pieces come through the studio that have creative diamond layouts or are more imaginative with their stamping designs. Currently on Emily's necklace, there is a mini globe with a diamond in Ohio and a large gold ID tag with the words "find the good" written in Braille. Soon, she hopes to add a miniature gold key to her collection.
KATE
Kate is a Kent State graduate with a major in Jewelry, Metals, and Enamel and a minor in Studio Art. A self-proclaimed workaholic, Kate spends a lot of her time putting the finishing touches on the jewelry before it is sent out. Kate treasures her ID tag she designed awhile back with a quote from Peter Pan on it. It is a wonderful reminder for her to never grow up completely and never to take herself too seriously. At work, Kate loves having so many of her college friends around and being able to work with such a beautiful collection of jewelry. A few of Kate's favorite designs include the rose gold, the lowercase font, and interesting placements of diamonds. The next charm Kate will add to her necklace is one that recollects a quote from the movie Captain Ron that she enjoys quoting with her family. This quote reminds her of spending time with them, especially over the holidays.
MARK
Mark is a graduate of Kent State University. There he studied Glass as a major. When his wife became the head of the Enameling Department at The Cleveland Institute of Art, he became the technical assistant and had the opportunity to get to know jewelry even more. His specialty is the laser welder, and he looks forward to improving his technique even more so in the future. He loves working for Heather herself because of her generosity and love for life that he had previously gotten to know when they knew each other at the Cleveland Institute of Art. His favorite design for a charm is when the stamping slightly overlaps and runs a little bit off of the piece. An idea he came up with for a piece for himself was inspired by a friendship bracelet book he got his niece. He would love to get the leather cord bracelets for each of them to remind them both of their relationship with one another.
LESLIE
Leslie Nichol graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art where she studied painting and ceramics. Working in inventory has given her the unique opportunity to act as an intermediary between the office and studio. She enjoys working on her own in that department as well as being a part of the energy throughout the office and studio. Leslie loves knowing that someone as wildly successful as Heather came out of her Alma Mater. Additionally, she enjoys the opportunity HMJ gives artistic graduates in Cleveland to come and work and be successful. Some of her favorite things in the line are the animal stamps and the dog bones. The necklace Leslie has in the works for herself will have a charm for her daughter with her name and birth date, a charm with her husband and her names together, and a small charm with the rooster stamp because that is a good luck symbol for her.
SARAH
Sarah graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a major in Enameling and a minor in Jewelry and Metals. Sara was an intern for Heather when she had her first enameling line, and ten years later, after graduating and moving back to Cleveland, Sara rejoined the Heather Moore team with our new line. Sara is appreciated in the studio for her helpful hands and quick response to rush orders. Sara loves that Heather Moore Jewelry is a fusion of high quality art and craft in addition to having such a strong fashion component. She enjoys working together with talented craftspeople and contributing to a line that speaks to the everyday American woman. Sara soon wants to start a charm bracelet because she likes the concept of adding to it throughout the years and using it to show a history of monumental events.
AMANDA
Amanda attended Kent State University where she studied Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design. Her focus is always on striving for the best quality and learning from those around her. She enjoys working with a like-minded, young, creative bunch of people. She feels assured knowing that the company is growing so rapidly, and that even in a tough economy, there are still opportunities here for artists. Her favorite pieces are ones with graffiti because it is wearable art, and no piece is ever the same. For herself, Amanda would like to get a charm to commemorate the anniversary of her wedding, which is coming up next June. She would want her charm to be simple and classic and written in script so that she would wear it forever.
WES
Wes attended The University of Miami of Ohio where he got his BFA in Metal and Jewelry Design. He then furthered his education at the University of Georgia where he went on to get a MFA in Jewelry and Metals. Wes looks forward to learning all of the different parts of the studio process during his training and finding his niche afterwards. He says that it is the people he works with that makes it so easy for him to come into work every day. He admires the fact that HMJ has done such a good job in finding talented people, identifying their strengths, and utilizing them to the fullest. His favorite thing to see people put on their jewelry is their animals' names, especially when their pets are cats.
TIMOTHY
Timothy graduated from Kent State University. Initially, he started studying architecture, but then switched and got his Bachelor's in Art History. Afterwards, he went on to get a Master of Library Science. In the studio, his strengths are carpentry, using various tools, and working with his hands. He loves the very un-corporate environment at HMJ and says that he looks forward to coming into work because of the people here. He admires that the company has so many great, high-end stores selling the line, and that we also have such a wonderful variety of customers. When he first came, he was more than impressed by the facilities and tools we have in our studio and by his fellow coworkers' knowledge of it all. He loves to see people wearing a whole collection of charms on their necklaces and also likes the keys with diamonds. He hopes to get a double-framed charm for his mom with the names of their family members on front and the serenity prayer in a spiral on the back.
AMBER
Amber graduated from Kent State University where she majored in Jewelry, Metals, and Enameling. Her strengths in the studio are fusing and soldering. The main thing she loves about work is the laidback, but professional, atmosphere. She also really enjoyed her time in the training program because it was a positive and constructive experience for her. Her favorite pieces include the cuff bracelets, the ID tags, and the more simple charms with names and birthdates. After her grandmother recently passed away, she would love to get a charm to commemorate her with her name on front and flower stamps on back since she was a big gardener.
DEANNA
Deanna went to Kent State University to get her BFA in Crafts with a concentration in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. She is very good at soldering and enjoys experimenting with the different metals. She loves the friendly and professional environment in the studio and finds it to be a great work environment for her. She likes the unique approach of the company to take production style jewelry and make it personalized, that way it is not the same thing over and over again. Her favorite thing the line has to offer is the belt buckles because they are not something she has ever seen anywhere else. On a piece for herself, Deanna would love to get her zodiac symbol.
RUTH ANNE
Ruth Anne graduated from Kent State University with a BFA in Crafts where she concentrated in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. She is good at working with a hammer and soon expects stamping to become one of her strong suits. The initial thing that attracted her to the line was the uniqueness of the way Heather succeeded in marrying fine jewelry and art jewelry into one. She loves seeing the crosswords people put together along with any other way of finding cool ways to stamp information. On a charm she hopes to get soon, Ruth Anne wants to put an Italian phrase whose literal translation is "Say it like you eat it," which to her means that you should say things how they are.
ALEXANDRA
Alexandra is a graduate of Taylor University. While there, she received a degree in Studio Art and concentrated in painting. Alexandra is still in training, but loves having the chance to work on all the various aspects of the jewelry making process. In particular, she likes finishing the pieces before they are sent out of the studio. What she loves most about Heather Moore Jewelry is the way it started and how it has grown so much. She loves seeing, first hand, how people in artistic fields can have a career in what they love and be successful. A charm Alexandra wants to get for herself would be rose and yellow gold and would have her full name in script and scattered diamonds. On the back, she would add a reference from a verse in The Bible since it's so important in her life.
SARAH
Sarah graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a major in Jewelry and Metals. Since working at Heather Moore Jewelry, she has improved her skills in many of the steps through the jewelry making process. She especially loves finishing and soldering. Her favorite part about the work environment here is the dogs and the friendly people with whom she works. Sarah loves the designs that commemorate people's pets. For herself, Sarah would like to get a silver and rose gold charm for her two cats with paw prints, cat stamps and raised gold hearts.
CHIARA
Chiara attended Kent State University where she received a degree in Early Childhood Education. She thrives in the fast-paced, ever-changing work environment of Heather Moore Jewelry. Chiara recognizes that we are really three companies in one, and she loves the fact that her job is to interact with everyone and to keep the lines of communication open between them in order to reach goals as a team. As a beaming mother of one, Chiara owns a single charm outlined with diamonds, stamped with her daughter's name, Marianna, which was given to her as a gift from her twin sister, our very own Gabriella. Like most HMJ collectors, she has yet to take the charm off! Down the road, she plans on adding a little gold dog bone.
COLETTE
Back in action, Colette joins us for another fantastic season! Before her days at HMJ, she received her Bachelor's degree in jewelry design from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto. Colette is extremely multi-faceted in the studio and takes everything thrown at her with a smile. HMJ allows her the opportunity to work with her hands, and one of her favorite things to do in the studio is diamond setting. Colette has yet to begin her collection since she sees so many amazing things come through each day, but hopes to pull the trigger soon!
ADRIENNE
Always striving to push herself to new heights, Adrienne enjoys working for HMJ because she is gaining a ton of experience and increasing her knowledge by working with gold and other new materials. Since joining the team, she has noticed herself becoming a more efficient metal smith and developing a better attention to detail. Adrienne feels that you can truly see Heather’s love for life in each piece created, because each item designed holds a treasured story. When she starts her collection, she would like to design a leather cuff filled from edge to edge with favorite quotes.
ALEX
Alex re-joins the Heather Moore family after a small hiatus, and boy, are we happy to have him back! With a BFA in Jewelry and Metals from the Cleveland Institute of Art, he is versatile in the trade and works as a bench jeweler, laser welder and diamond setter. The creative environment here at HMJ is why Alex enjoys working here along with the fact that the line is ever-changing with something new always around the corner. Each piece has their own unique personality, so it's hard for him to pick a personal favorite. One day he would like to make his own piece, something never seen before, or he would like to design a belt buckle which would mimic an aquarium featuring lots of different fish.

AARON
Aaron graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a double major in Industrial Design and Jewelry and Metals. He works both in the studio and office. In the studio, he has become a master diamond setter, and in the office, he astonishes everyone with his 3D modeling abilities. He loves the line for its unique ability to tell a story that could have taken place over a few days or a few generations. He also very much likes the opportunity it gives him to work side by side with other talented artists. His favorite pieces are the globes, and he is hoping to get one for himself with a diamond set in Cleveland.
LIZA
When she's not working on her own collection, Liza works with us in the studio. She graduated from The Cleveland Institute of Art, which is perfect for her position as a studio associate. The HMJ family is the perfect atmosphere for her because she truly enjoys surrounding herself with like-minded, driven artists, and she especially likes working for a local company all while refining her skills. Liza knows how important the line is to our customers since the collection creates meaningful, personal pieces to last generations. She has yet to start her own collection, but she would like to begin with a Harriet stone, and then she would like to design a bracelet for her mom with all of the kids represented.
CLARA
Clara has a laundry list of experience and schooling including sculpture, painting, drawing and printmaking along with attending the New England School of Art and Design, Goldsmiths College, University of London and many more! She has a highly coveted position of working in the stamping department, so if you visit the studio, that's where you'll find her. Clara enjoys the HMJ atmosphere, because she is surrounded with people who "teeter on the line between creative and crazy." The uniqueness of each piece in addition to the outstanding production processes are the main reasons she loves the line. She also enjoys stamping out graffiti pieces because of the challenge of making everything fit beautifully and cohesively. When Clara starts her collection, she would begin with a Harriet stone and a round charm with her family member's initials and scattered diamonds.
LAURI
Lauri is currently in school studying Jewelry, Metals, and Enameling. She is valued in the studio for her patience and ability to multitask. She is proud to work at a company that is growing so rapidly, especially in this tough economy. She enjoys her work environment and loves the talented people she gets to work with. Her favorite pieces in the collection are the keys and the globes. On her wish list is a yellow gold key with diamonds set all around it.
RACHEL
The Cleveland Institute of Art taught Rachel her fantastic skills in printmaking and enamel. Heather Moore Jewelry is happy to have her as one of our key studio positions: stamper, which means Rachel is one of the artists that personalizes your charm, one character at a time, exactly how you want! She likes working in the collaborative atmosphere of HMJ where everyone works towards a common goal. Some of her favorites in the line include the ID tags with puzzle graffiti, but if she was going to order a piece for herself, she would get a framed round charm with the medical alert stamp along with an aquamarine; she thinks this is a much more attractive way to communicate needs in a medical emergency.
